World Trade Center Qatar announced that the 2nd edition of

held this year under the patronage of H.E. Sh. Hamad Bin Jassim
Bin Jabr Al Thani, The Prime Minister of the state of Qatar, at
the Ritz Carlton Hotel on the 26th & 27th of November, 2008.
More than 500 participants from leading regional and
international real estate, finance, and investment companies
will participate at this year’s edition of the Forum, which has
quickly grown to become Qatar’s most specialized property
conference.
Chadi Abou Daher, Regional Manager of World Trade Center Doha,
said that the Forum this year is held at a crucial moment where
concerns over property market sustainability and long term
growth have become widespread. He added that ESTATE Qatar 2008
offers an unparalleled and timely perspective on the current
status and future of the real estate market in the region. Over
two-days CEOs and industry experts and leaders will debate the
future of real estate developments and finances in light of the
latest financial crisis that swept across the world markets.
The Forum is sponsored by leading real estate developers,
financial institutions, Investment Funds, government
authorities, and media who are key drivers of the real estate
growth in the region. Abu Dhabi Investment House (ADIH) has
recently announced its sponsorship of the Forum as Strategic
Partner for the second consecutive year. ADIH’s sponsorship
reinforces the importance of Qatar as one of the most promising
real estate markets in the region and the essential role
conferences such as the Qatar Property Investment Forum play in
increasing investors’ awareness of these markets. ADIH has been
a key player in the development of Qatari property market
through its project Tarfeeh City, a multi-billion dollar project
in Qatar’s new Lusail development.
ESTATE Qatar 2008 will highlight a diversity of topics including
the challenges of financing real estate projects and sustaining
real estate growth in the midst of global financial turmoil. It
will analyze the current real estate financing programs,
exploring alternative financing schemes, and suggesting possible
strategies for developers and financiers to withstand the
crisis. The Forum shall also adopt a comparative approach for
analyzing regional property markets and its competitive
advantage in attracting foreign investments. Among the other
topics the Forum will cover are “Environmental Construction: The
Challenge of going Green” and “Urban Planning & Infrastructure
as the foundations for growth”.
ESTATE Qatar 2008 will be also highlighted by the CEO DEBATE.
Held on the second day of the Forum, the “CEO Debate” session
will bring together leading CEOs in the real estate industry to
discuss successful strategies and industries issues. The
participants, through their personal experience, will bring
insights on where the region real estate developments are
heading and where future opportunities lie.
Abu Daher added that “Estate Qatar 2007” has become from its
first edition an international forum through the participation
of distinguished speakers and participants from across the
region, Europe, and America. The success of the second edition
confirms the importance of such specialized Forums in
